my issue is cooling flashing red light, I followed all the instructions to fix, cleaned it well, changed the fan motor, nothing is working, if Lomi knows this is a problem, why sell an expensive item if these problems are not worked out?

How often to change the charcoal?!

Ours has always been difficult to get the lid in and latched. Goes on easy with the bucket out. Put the bucket in lined up propetly, and nope. Took a brush to the bottom of the lid and on the main housing where the lid engages the housing. Cleaning is not going to work this time. Anyone else having this issue?

I run a compost company and I can say definitively that they are not creating compost and what comes out of a Lomi will still emit GHG's after being removed from the system and potentially be harmful to plants that it is added to. Composting takes time, there is no shortcut. There is a time and place for this machinery, for instance dehydrating food waste prior to using it as animal feed or transporting it to a facility where it will actually be composted. Both are viable solutions in the right situation, however we need to be honest about what we are marketing and selling and ensure that we aren't creating more waste in the process.

Just seen an advertisement on this and I think it’s a good idea, yet you still use electricity to do it. I believe the traditional way is better if you can. Keep at it though folks 👍

what if having a customer service department who could assist with a dead three month old three hundred dollar machine...what if a company wanted to assist those who purchased a Lomi. It doesn't exist and I would not buy this machine again ..I'd like my money back. So disappointing....there is no protection for the consumer from rip off companies like this.

I just saw the Lomi on Epic Gardning with Kevin. We are is a similar situation - lots of space (actually just over an acre), chickens, and a worm bin. My question is in regard to something Eric did not mention having.....we have trouble with critters when we add kitchen scraps to the compost. Do you think pretreating those scraps with the Lomi might reduced the odor and be less attractive to mice and rats?

They are charging $500 dollars for the same internals as a counter top bread maker at around $85 dollars. And it is a PURE SCAM to tell people heating your wet garbage INSIDE your home and dumping humidity into your living space is more Green than just letting it go to a pit where will naturally decompose. The garbage truck is coming by your house either way. But running this "product" will make your house hotter and more humid. Which even 5 secs of extra AC means you are 100x worse for the planet.

So we’re using energy from the grid to power this device to make compost? Sounds like the net benefit is extremely questionable and this feels gimmicky.

1. The lands fields gas production can be captures and then used as energy which is done quite a bit so there we should be addressed why you are finding areas not doing this 2. Home composting attracts mice and in last few years we are seeing spikes already of mice so that is a big issue 3. That thing is way to small with the amount of waste people produce and it can handle at once. Maybe for 1-2 person households this would work 4. That thing looks highly in efficient as you have some kind of motor running to turn one tiny bucket of compost also its made out plastic and other materials that we had to produce more waste to make. This is such a scam

I hate to break it to you but that old growth forest is eventually going to burn down. I think old growth forest yes do need to be protected but at the same time they should allow selective logging in there to trees that have recently fallen or that are dying to reduce forest fire risk
